Civic Engagement and Innovation

“Civic engagement is important because ultimately it’s the best version of every single person in the community.”

Come join us for our October Pioneers@MDC Conversation Series to meet Steven Levine, Co-Founder of Meteorite Social Impact Advisors. Steven will share about his experiences with Meteorite and their key projects such as the #VoteTogether Campaign and the TurboVote Challenge.

Steven Levine is an expert in corporate and government communications, having held prominent positions in the White House and in the executive offices of major U.S. media companies.

Before co-founding Meteorite, Steven served as Vice President for Univision Communications, the leading media company serving Hispanic America. In the office of the CEO, Steven worked to transform the traditional media company into the defining entertainment, news and political advocacy brand of the Hispanic community in the United States.

Steven worked to establish Univision as the preeminent Hispanic media brand through several award-winning initiatives, including the strategy behind the company’s political and advocacy group and its social impact brand, for which he led the company’s unprecedented 2016 voter engagement initiative.

Previously, Steven served as the White House Associate Director of Communications under President George W. Bush. In this role, Steven was responsible for executing every single presidential media event held on White House grounds. Events he ran included the presidential addresses to the nation on the troop surge in Iraq and the 2008 global financial crisis, as well as the president’s farewell address.
