Banned Books Week
Start Date: 9/22/2019 All Day
End Date: 9/28/2019
Event Description:

Banned Books Week (September 22-28, 2019) is an annual event that highlights the benefits of unrestricted reading and draws attention to censorship attempts. This year's Banned Books Week theme is "Censorship Leaves Us in the Dark. Keep the Light On." Censorship leaves us in the dark by extinguishing information and silencing challenging discussions. But there are places that keep the light on, allowing everyone to access materials from an array of viewpoints. Visit your campus library to learn more on how you can participate!
