As part of Hispanic Heritage Month, Miami Dade College’s (MDC) Kendall Campus will presenta very special, all-star panel at 6 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 5, featuring MDC alumni Jenny Lorenzo, Laura Di Lorenzo, David Gallegos, and other YouTube sensations Mimi Davila, Mario Ramil, Carlos Fariñas and Annie Jones. This event is free and open to the public (ticket required). Meet and greet with the panelists after the event.

Lorenzo is a Cuban-American actor/producer, born and raised in Miami, who is best known for her work on the Aggressive Comix channel, BuzzFeed's Pero Like and now We Are Mitú. In 2014, she was awarded "Best Internet Personality" at The Geekie Awards and "Best Vlog" and "Best Viral Video" at the 2013 Miami New Times Web Awards for her work on the Aggressive Comix channel. After relocating to Los Angeles in 2015, she pioneered Latin content at BuzzFeed Motion Pictures with Pero Like and started beloved formats such as the 'That's So Abuelita' series, 'Spanglish Con Yenny' and fun twists to the telenovela genre. Lorenzo is now a video producer and talent for Mitú, where things are loud, funny and unapologetic. In addition, she recently started her own vlog channel and continues to speak to her audience in an open, honest, and fun way about a variety of topics near and dear to her.

Di Lorenzo is originally from Venezuela and raised in Miami. She has been doing improv and sketch comedy for over ten years and is currently working at We are Mitú as a producer/actress/writer focusing on creating original comedic content. She graduated with a BFA in theater performance from New World School of the Arts and has a web series on YouTube titled the "Chonga Diaries" with her best friend and writing partner Mimi Davila.

Gallegos began his acting career at MDC, leading him to be recruited by critically-acclaimed Miami-based theater company Ground Up & Rising. He has since been in several productions including Othello, The last days of Judas Iscariot, and The Pillowman. He also worked with Culture Shock Miami doing improv for kids and teaching the art of improv in Art South, Gulliver Academy, and other schools. Gallego’s first taste of Hollywood was landing a lead role in Asylum's 2 Headed Shark attack acting alongside Carmen Elektra and Brooke Hogan. He has also worked on independent films with Creature Entertainment and Brave Man Media, and commercials for Toyota, Brooks running shoes, Sinai Hospital, and Converse, among other companies. Gallego has also appeared in videos for Buzzfeed and Mitu that led him to start his own channel "This is Splendid."
