The pin symbolizes their transition into the teaching profession and represents their commitment to fostering learning, supporting students, and upholding the responsibilities of an educator.

The ceremony will include opening remarks from the College President, a message from the Dean of the School of Education, the recitation of the educator’s oath, the formal pinning of the SOE emblem, remarks from the College Provost, and more. Through this symbolic moment, graduates are welcomed into the profession and reminded of the profound impact teachers have in shaping the lives and futures of their students.

This tradition highlights the significance of the teaching profession and honors the role educators play in strengthening our schools, communities, and society.
