Miami Waterkeeper’s 1000 Eyes on the Water training is your chance to learn how to protect our waterways through everyday observation and action. This unique environmental stewardship program empowers residents to become first responders for pollution events, fish kills, algal blooms, and other threats to Biscayne Bay and surrounding ecosystems. During the training, participants will gain the skills to recognize and report signs of environmental distress, contributing to a network of community monitors working to safeguard our local waters. You’ll learn about water quality issues in South Florida, the importance of timely reporting, and how your efforts support scientific research and advocacy.
