Panelists Robert Bailey, a mental health clinician, and Regina Renaye, founder of Mindful + Melanated,  will lead a discussion on mental health issues in the black community. Robert Bailey will offer a clinician’s thoughts on the barriers to access of care that Black males may face and what they can do to overcome such barriers. Regina Renaye will share the obstacles she faced as a patient seeking a mental health provider and how her search was the catalyst for creating her organization Mindful + Melanated that offers peer support and access to culturally competent mental wellness resources, providers, and programs. Ms. Mary Wallace of MDC will provide resources available to Miami Dade College students.
