This closing event for Black History Month 2021 will focus on the significance of ancestry in a person’s life.  Through essays on the topic Who do you think you are?, students will share their reflections on why discovering their ancestry is important to them, and they will describe the specific person or event that influenced their thinking on why they claim their current identity.

Keynote Speaker: Dr. Marvin Dunn, renowned Miami historian, author, and psychology professor

Moderators: Ms. Crystal Dunn, Student Success Manager at the Carrie P. Meek Entrepreneurial Education Center, and Selena Respass, MDC Professor of Criminal Justice
