Come join us at the Student Services Lobby to celebrate the kick-off of MDC's first-ever Changemaker Week 2023! Once we kick off, we'll join our peers at North Campus via livestream to participate in the special keynote by special alum and esteemed guest, Desmond Meade.

Recognized by Time Magazine in 2019 as one of the “100 Most Influential People in the World,” and awarded the prestigious MacArthur “Genius” Fellow award in 2021, Mr. Meade will inspire us with his story of resilience and action as he recounts his journey to becoming one of South Florida’s most impactful changemakers. Currently president of the Florida Rights Restoration Coalition (FRRC) and chair of Floridians for a Fair Democracy, this graduate of MDC and FIU’s College of Law will share his insights and advice on how we build and sustain community...together.
