In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, the Cuban Classical Ballet of Miami, and Miami Dade College North Campus present Hispanidad, a program featuring live music, vibrant rhythms and dance performances rooted in Hispanic culture. The program will include music by pianist Vivian González and soprano Kiley Hernández performing excerpts from Zarzuelas, a music genre that deals with the social realities of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, often defined as Spanish opera. The Cuban Classical Ballet of Miami will also be performing “Habaneras” showcasing the sultry vibrancy and strength of Hispanic women, “Lecuona Suite” a tribute to Cuban composer Ernesto Lecuona, and other performances.
