MDC Events

Endorsed by the International Reading Association, Student Life, English and Communications, and Miami Book Fair Year-Round present the National African American Read-In initiative. The Read-In brings together more than 1 million readers throughout the nation to pay homage to African American literature. The African American Read-In aims to connect students to culturally relevant texts and foster cross-cultural understanding through co-curricular alignment with MDC's Learning Outcomes. This year's keynote will be Mr. Brandon Fleming, renowned speaker, nationally acclaimed educator, and author of MISEDUCATED: A Memoir.
