Dr. Mohammad Homayounvash, Director of the Jaffer Institute for Interfaith Dialogue & Education at Miami Dade College, will present on the meaning of Iftar and the connections to other religious faiths and spiritual practices that observe some sort of fasting as a form of self-reflection and mindfulness. The event will include a catered Iftar meal to share together as a community.
