Dedicated for only MDC staff, faculty, and administrators, this conversation with one of MDC's most special alums will shed light on the critical role we each play in providing the "continuum of care" for all of our students. Recognized by Time Magazine in 2019 as one of the “100 Most Influential People in the World,” and awarded the prestigious MacArthur “Genius” Fellow award in 2021, Mr. Meade will remind us that whether inside or outside the classroom, whether in the financial aid or advising office, or whether through public safety or campus services, we ALL make the difference for our students, together.

Overcoming challenges with the wide array of support he found at MDC, Mr. Meade went on to become one of our country's most impactful changemakers – currently serving as president of the Florida Rights Restoration Coalition (FRRC) and chair of Floridians for a Fair Democracy.
