Hispanic Heritage in STEM: Integrating the legacy of Hispanic-born STEM practitioners into the American STEM heritage
An interactive presentation with historical information about the well-documented integration of Hispanic-born STEM practitioners into the Science and Technology heritage of the USA. Examples cover all fields of STEM and it is intended to raise awareness about the STEM professions and how important the different cultural approaches are, when we are dealing with Science and Technology. The talk is also intended to promote the STEM initiatives at MDC and in particular at Wolfson Campus and how these initiatives are connected with the program of making of Miami a technological hub and a bridge with Latin America and the Caribbean.
