The impacts of breast and heart health on women are significant – with 1 out of 8 women diagnosed with breast cancer and 1 out of 3 women being fatally impacted by heart disease each year, these consequences affect women, their families, and communities altogether. Join us as we end Changemaker Week with our collegewide day of service! We will walk together to support The Women's Breast & Heart Initiative – our local champion partner whose mission is to transform and save lives while providing at-risk women, college students, and low-income populations with the resources necessary to prevent and treat breast cancer and heart disease! Whether you walk, run, or cheer in this 5K - or participate virtually - your support makes a difference – all proceeds from the Pink Walk support disease prevention and early detection for folks in our South Florida community.
