Duo Pianists & Composers

duo & solo pianists, composers and educators are the Executive and Artistic Directors of The Unconservatory, a national non- profit musical organization and Cranberry Coast Concerts (CCC), an annual summer music festival in New England. The two were married in a ceremony and concert performance that included the world premier of their original “Concerto For Two Pianos and Orchestra.” They have concertized extensively throughout the United States and abroad, including a performance of their original works for two pianos at The Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.

The duo performed in critically acclaimed concert tours throughout the French Riviera and, with pianists Frédéric Chauvel and Mark Solé – Lerís, formed The United Nations performing a diverse repertoire in American and European concerts since 2007, including Whipple’s original work for 2 pianos / 8 hands, entitled “Fives.” In 2012, The UNPQ performed Whipple’s arrangement for 2 pianos / 8 hands of Gustav Holst’s “The Planets” in France and the Ukraine.

In 2006 Whipple & Morales toured 32 states, presenting concerts and educational events. Highlights included performances and a recording in California with The Unconservatory Festival Orchestra, a.k.a. "The U.F.O." and the inaugural season of CCC. Whipple and Morales have been recognized by the State of Florida with several major grant awards in support of their state touring activities, “Always Remember,” an original musical by Marilyn Morales and “Macabrifesto,” a Gothic fantasy set to American and British poems, for chorus, 2 pianos / 8 hands / bass and percussion.
