The Miami Tech Talent Coalition launched one year ago and we invite all employers, academic institutions, training providers, and community partners to join us as we mark our first year and discuss the actions we will take in the next phase of our collaborative work.

What to Expect:

During this collaborative event, you’ll have the opportunity to engage in discussion with industry leaders and gain valuable insights from the coalition’s working group chairs and partners. Here’s a glimpse of the working groups that will be present:

Inclusive Tech Pipeline: Discover how to recruit, onboard, and retain non-traditional talent pools from Miami’s rich and diverse community. Chaired by Toia Santamarina of GET Cities and Selenis Leguisamon (AWS). Advised by Angelica Santibanez (Amazon).

Emerging Tech: Build new and innovative pathways for early and entry-level tech talent to access experience and opportunities. Chaired by Charles Irizarry (BRIM & Co.), Ken Finneran (eMed), and advised by Millie Acebal (Kaseya).

Tech Skills Gap: Address the need to re-skill and upskill the existing workforce while identifying skills gaps in the market. Chaired by Olga Naumavich (Millennium Management) and advised by Luis Lepe (Telefonica Tech).

Small Business Capacity Building: Join the efforts to create tech talent pathways specifically designed for micro and small businesses. Chaired by Reginald Andre (ARK Solvers).

Why You Should Attend:

South Florida’s tech job market has experienced rapid growth, and now is the time to leverage this momentum. By joining the Miami Tech Talent Coalition, you’ll become an integral part of the region’s thriving tech ecosystem. As an employer, your active involvement in coalition meetings will ensure that academic programs align with industry needs, providing you with a direct pipeline to top tech talent. You’ll have the opportunity to engage with decision-makers, C-level executives, academic institutions, training providers, and passionate individuals dedicated to Miami’s tech talent development.
