Accountable Impact (www.accountableimpact.org) and Earth Ethics Institute at Miami Dade College (www.mdc.edu/earthethicsinstitute), in partnership with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (www.ieee.org) and other community partners, are excited to announce Planet Positive 2030 Miami, a gathering of various community stakeholders who are coming together to envision what a resilient, positive Miami-Dade County by the year 2030 would look like. The issue of extreme heat will provide a focus for our inquiry. Planet Positive 2030 Miami takes place April 28 & 29 at Miami Dade College Padrón Campus. The use of innovative technological solutions will be explored, as well as resilience efforts currently underway being led by the county Office of Environmental Risk and Resilience, the CLEO Institute, WeCount!, and more. There is limited space for MDC students, faculty/staff members, classes, and the general public to attend.
