Dr. Darrell Arnold, Philosophy professor and Blues musician, will present a one-of-a-kind multimedia experience that features the music of foundational Delta Blues artists such as Robert Johnson, Bessie Smith, Lightnin’ Hopkins and Mississippi John Hurt (performed live by Dr. Arnold), combined with a compelling narrative about the emergence of the Blues and its contribution to American history. The event will also include a slideshow of the portraits of featured blues artists painted by Macedonian artist Irena Gapkovska.
