Vision Boards are a tool used to help clarify, concentrate and maintain focus on goals that truly matters to you. A vision board is a collage of images, pictures, and affirmations of one's dreams and desires, designed to serve as a source of inspiration. These simple devices are one of the most valuable visualization tools available.

Sept 17: Personal Awareness & Self-Exploration

True Colors is a model for understanding yourself and others based on your personality temperament. As a self-awareness activity, True Colors promotes the appreciation of individual differences. Awareness of True Colors will become the key to success as a change-maker in personal, professional and social activities.

Oct 1: Social Development, Group Cohesion & Cooperative Learning

Critical & Creative Thinking are essential to academic and career success. The goal of this session is to target many current educational topics and trends while building a skillset that includes: problem solving, critical and creative thinking, communication, innovation, grit, reflection, iteration, and collaboration. Via virtual escape rooms, students will be engaged in the manipulation of resources in a manner that is both challenging and exciting.

Navigating Finances empowers students to learn from their own experiences with money. Using a simulation-based learning design, the Rising Black Scholars will learn the fundamentals of financial literacy as a key empowerment mechanism. Learning to navigate the roads of money management will lead the Rising Black Scholars on the path towards financial freedom.
