Audience: Full-Time Faculty

In this session, participants will learn how to use at least two digital engagement tools for teaching and learning. Participants will learn how to access and use the selected tools with their students. A discussion will be led about best practices to enhance engagement as well as Universal Design principles to ensure faculty create and design ADA accessible content. These tools can be used in all class formats - face-to-face, blended, and online.

After successful completion of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Use at least two digital tools to engage students in the learning process
  • Apply the universal design for learning (UDL) framework to course design
  • Discuss the importance of designing accessible content 4) Explore how to design accessible content
  • Access the CIOL training repositories for workshop material and lessons
  • Discuss the importance, benefits, and best practices of active learning

This is a self-paced, fully online workshop.
