A soup itself is poetry, a way of reminding ourselves that we are interdependent and that we must pass on generationally the knowledge of sowing, preparing, and sharing our food. In this workshop, participants create a collective poem while we cook a soup together. We share recipes that we have learned from our loved ones. We highlight the cultural importance of repairing the current relationship with the food we eat. And together we blend our stories, our heritage, and our food to recognize our shared humanity.
