Come join us and learn how financial literacy equals success. Are you ready to raise your credit score? Many of the social issues tearing at the fabric of our country can be connected in some way to insufficient knowledge of financial literacy. Financial literacy can mean the difference between opportunity and adversity because it can open doors to new possibilities. In this workshop, Ms. Karim will explain the different types of consumer debt along with the implications of this debt on your credit and overall financial health.

Ms. Shamsha Karim is a librarian on the Kendall Campus who oversees the college's business collections. She holds a Master of Business Administration from Florida International University and a Master of Library and Information Science from the University of North Texas. Ms. Karim is also a business and information literacy instructor at Miami Dade College.
