Learn about the week's activities and how you can be involved, and then join Provost Harrison for an inspiring "Journeys in Changemaking: The Desmond Meade Story" program (livestreamed from North Campus). Our esteemed alum, Desmond Meade is a formerly homeless returning citizen who overcame many obstacles to become President of the Florida Rights Restoration Coalition (FRRC), Chair of Floridians for a Fair Democracy, and a graduate of MDC and FIU College of Law and a 2021 MacArthur "Genius" Fellow. He was recognized by Time Magazine as one of the 100 Most Influential People in the World in 2019.
