The role of women in fantasy has evolved significantly. Initially confined to stereotypical roles, women in modern fantasy literature are more frequently depicted as complex, empowered individuals who take charge of their own destinies. This student-led Lit Fest event will showcase some of the most predominant female characters in fantasy who inspire by defying traditional gender roles and empower women of all ages.
