Tiffany Walker, Learning Resources Professional, will discuss how zines, self-published works, can combat censorship. Tiffany received her MLIS degree from Florida State University and her bachelor's degree in anthropology from the University of Florida. In 2019, she completed a course on Critical Librarianship in which she learned about the role of zines in information dissemination and community advocacy.
In this presentation, Tiffany will discuss the perils of censorship, the birth of zines, and the use of them. At the end, she will lead an activity in which participants create their own zine.
